Russian Gypsy fortune telling cards - published in 1992 – Harper San Francisco - by Svetlana Touchkoff Wilmink. The cards are derived from Russian folklore, they featured animals, nature, and Christian symbols. The cards are laid out in rows of fives matching halves as you go, going in the order you pull the cards. The cards originate from the southwestern part of Russia where the Gypsies mainly lived. Gypsies were always welcome into villages because of their colorful caravans, songs and entertainment, but fortune telling was the most sought after.
